Position Summary

The Machine Operator operates the CNC machine to cut and build rollers. Sets up and operates a variety of machines. 

Responsibilities

• Measures and sets up machines to manufacture a high volume of parts
• Performs machine shop and mold press operations to support Assembly
• Detects defective materials and questionable conditions and reports to the manager
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
• Follows safety regulations
• Performs preventative maintenance on machines
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Ability to use a band saw, hand tools and calipers and perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, molding, and all bench operations
• Ability to read blueprints
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Team orientation
